Booking a holiday; FAQ’s

  • Can I book a short break?

    During peak times, our booking periods are 7 days, Saturday to Saturday. Short breaks are available outside our peak periods and are subject to availability. Please see our rental tariff for pricing details and check our availability online or with our team.

  • Do I have to pay a deposit for my holiday?

    To secure your break, we ask for a deposit of 25% of your holiday. The remaining balance is payable 42 days prior to your arrival, and we’ll send you a gentle reminder via email when it’s due.

  • What does the price of my holiday include?

    The full use of all Thatches leisure facilities is included in the price of your holiday, as well as gas, electric & water. Your lodge will be cleaned ready for your arrival, beds made up and freshly laundered fluffy white towels provided. Please bring your own beach towels.

  • Where do I find out about the Booking Terms & Conditions?

    Our Terms and Conditions can be found under the Lodges for Rent section. A copy will also be sent to you when you make your booking.

  • Does the property include a high chair or baby monitors?

    If you require a high chair or baby monitors for your holiday, please let us know and these will be provided for you at no extra charge. You will need to bring your own cot linen. Some of our lodges do not have room for extra cots, so please check the lodge descriptions when you book.

  • What time can I arrive and what time must I depart?

    Our arrival time is between 4.00pm and 5.00pm. We would ask that you vacate the property by 9.30am on departure day. If you are arriving after 5.00pm please let us know so that we can make arrangements to meet you.

  • If I need to cancel my holiday, what will happen?

    Please telephone or email us as soon as you can if you have to cancel a holiday. If you cancel your holiday more than 28 days before arrival you will forfeit your booking deposit. If you cancel within 28 days of your holiday date, then, unfortunately, you will forfeit your full payment. We recommend that you take out the appropriate insurance cover to protect against cancellations.

  • Can we bring a dog to Thatches?

    We have five pet-friendly holiday lodges at Thatches; Mulberry, Foxgloves, Bay Tree and Little Acorn where one small/medium well-behaved dog is permitted at the owner’s discretion. A £50 surcharge per week on the rental tariff is charged per dog when included in your party. Registered assistance dogs are permitted.   • What are your Reception opening hours?

    Mon – Fri: 9.00am to 5.00pm – Sat: 10.00am to 5.00pm

    Sundays & Bank Holidays: 11.00am to 4.00pm

    Closed: Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day
